Drivers Roman Rusinov and Andrea Pizzitola have a massive 88.25 points, with their teammate Jean-Eric Vergne, on 76.25 points being the only driver that can catch the champions elect. ⠀
The combination of driver skill, Gazprom fuel efficiency and Dragon power provided an unbeatable combination in the rain-soaked race this weekend. However, the torrential rain did nothing to dampen the resolve of the trio of Dragons as they secured an unassailable 33.25-point advantage over their nearest opponents with only 26 points available in the final round in Portugal next month. ⠀
G-Drive powered by Dragon has won the ELMS championship for the past 3 years and Roman Rusinov adds the 2018 ELMS title to the FIA World Endurance Championship LMP2 title he won in 2015, also with G-Drive Racing whilst Andrea Pizzitola can celebrate his first major endurance racing title.⠀
Having won three of the five races in the 2018 series the team only need to take it steady in the final race of the season, but with the potential to finish the series with over 100 points what do you expect the Dragons to do….
