This event is expected to have over 2,000 delegates, making it one of the most significant events in an industry seeing a phenomenal growth. In addition to this sizable number of delegates, more than 500 investors will also be there seeking to form long-term partnerships with researchers to reshape the industry.  150 exhibitors and 100 brilliant start-ups will also be in attendance to showcase how they plan to evolve the industry.

This is the inaugural edition of the Medical Cannabiz World event running from 4th to 5th of November at the stunning Intercontinental Malta and takes a deep dive into opportunities that have been unlocked by the forward-thinking Maltese government.

In the same way that success for SIGMA, the World's iGaming Village, and the Malta A.I. & Blockchain Summit was linked to Malta’s visionary stance on regulating these industries, the Medical Cannabiz World summit will focus on the benefits of regulating this million-dollar industry, attracting medical researchers, investors, and also entrepreneurs that are looking to form powerful partnerships that can change how the industry operates.

Leading Blockchain pioneer Paul Moynan and Dragon’s R&D department continue to investigate how to utilize blockchain technology and the Dragon ecosystem within the hemp / CBD industry.  Of the event, Paul said, 'with SiGMA’s expertise behind this event it is sure to be a perfect conduit for both new and established investors to take advantage of the superb networking and brand exposure opportunities.  There is great potential for blockchain to bring excellent benefits to this innovative industry.’

Aside from addressing some of the issues major industry players have faced and overcome, and how the government can help out, this event also offers fantastic opportunities to network.  Five hundred investors at the event are looking forward to hearing some great pitches which could have wide-ranging implication to change the cannabis industry, not just Malta, but also in other parts of the world. If you are in this line of business, you do not want to miss this fantastic opportunity to connect and interact with others in the industry.

To discuss some of the issues and current trends, the organizers of this event have brought together several experts in the medical world to address delegates. One of the foremost speakers for this event is Minister of Health and the Deputy Prime Minister of Malta Hon. Chris Fearne. Tracy Ryan, the CEO of CannaKids, have also been identified to be one of the guest speakers at this event, showing a comprehensive and diverse range of knowledge available.

The best in the industry are also recognized at the event in the first of it kind Medical Cannabiz Awards, expertly hosted by Jessica Walker, SiGMA Group Head of Media Production and Michael Miller from LA Weekly.  The awards highlight businesses making waves in key areas of the medical cannabis supply chain such as Melabis, a Blockchain company co-founded by Damon Booth to streamline the current supply, demand and consumption chain of medical cannabis.

Eman Pulis, CEO and SiGMA Group and dear friend of Dragon CEO Paul Moynan commented, “This is another huge milestone for both Malta and the wider business community involved in the life-changing medicinal cannabis industry.  With Malta’s new regulatory environment in this area, we’re seeing a significant number of companies coming to the island to take part in the summit, many of which are either looking for angel funding from early-bird investors or offering investment opportunities."
