A violent storm suddenly struck the Vietnamese town of Nha Trang. In a matter of mere hours, hundreds of homes were destroyed, leaving an already impoverished, rural town reeling in discontent.
The redevelopment project being supported by Dragon aims to rebuild over 140 homes in the hopes of revitalising the demoralised region. The rebuilding is expected to take at least 3 months.
The unexpected floods claimed the lives of at least 19 people, over 150 families have been torn apart and countless are harbouring serious injuries with many being admitted into the Tam Tri Hospital, but worse yet, the feeling of homelessness dawns upon the whole region.
The Dragon have partnered with LivingisGiving, a charity based in Vietnam, to provide immediate relief to victims on the ground. Relief in the form of money, clothes and food have been handed out, but there is still more to be done.
